October 1, 2003:  The West Salem First Responders were recently involved in helping to educate W.S. High School students about the dangers of drinking and driving. It was a very emotional day including a mock car accident with fatalities, mock memorial for the student who was killed and a moving speech from Mary Reinhart. Photos of the mock accident can be found here.
Thanks to all those involved, including: West Salem Police Department, West Salem Volunteer Fire Department, West Salem High School, Tri-State Ambulance, Med-Link Air, La Crosse County Sheriff's Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, and the La Crosse County Medical Examiner's Office.
